Tips para el mantenimiento de tu flota
¿Qué opciones tengo para adquirir vehículos? ¿Cuáles son los puntos que debo considerar antes de solicitar una flota? Estas son algunas preguntas que le realizamos a Jefe de Operaciones, Manuel Ortiz, para que puedas tomar una mejor decisión para tu negocio.
No solo debes tener en cuenta los precios que te ofrecen, sino el uso presente y futuro que tendrán los vehículos, y si ayudará a la expansión de tu negocio. Las flotas vehiculares necesitan de una serie de herramientas que permitan monitorear su desempeño y servicios que garanticen la seguridad en tus operaciones y faciliten el acceso a tecnología.
Para la selección de una flota debes tomar en cuenta los siguientes factores:
- Propósito de la flota
- Tipo de vehículo y equipamiento
- Motor y Mantenimientos
- Seguros Vehiculares
- Capacitación y permisos para los conductores
- Software de monitoreo
En el mercado existen varias opciones para adquirir una flota vehicular como Leasing o Renting Operativo, Leasing Financiero y financiamiento para la compra directa de los vehículos con préstamos o fondos de la empresa. Sin embargo, no todas las opciones te ofrecen servicios integrales.
En este caso, los servicios de Renting o Leasing Operativo ofrecen además servicios complementarios como SOAT, Seguro vehicular, mantenimientos, documentación e impuestos, agrupando tus costos variables y costos fijos en una sola cuota.
Para logar una acertada administración operativa y logística de las flotas, debes tomar en cuenta la importancia del vehículo con los mantenimientos preventivos y otras actividades como:
Mantenimiento adecuado y planificado: así se reducen las reparaciones no programadas (por problemas imprevistos) y asegura la operatividad de la mayor cantidad de unidades. El mantenimiento preventivo incluye el cambio de aceite, rotación e inspección de llantas y verificaciones de seguridad del vehículo. En este punto es clave vigilar los costos en mantenimientos y cuándo comienzan a aumentar según la antigüedad de las unidades.
La frecuencia en los mantenimientos: de preferencia debe ser programado cada 5,000 km o dependiendo de la recomendación de la marca. Este es un factor muy importante porque, de no realizarse de manera adecuada, los vehículos pueden perder las garantías de los fabricantes. Sabemos que es importante que los vehículos reciban los cuidados adecuados, por eso trabajamos con talleres y técnicos capacitados por las marcas con las que trabajamos.
Monitoreo: Gracias a la tecnología podemos hacer seguimiento al rendimiento de nuestras flotas por medio de softwares de gestión, lo que nos ayudará a automatizar y sistematizar las tareas manuales como las de emitir reportes detallados para tomar decisiones más acertadas. Los proveedores de la flota nos convertimos en un socio estratégico para acompañarte y asesorarte en todo este proceso para solucionar y manejar las oportunidades de mejora.
Para lograr una buena gestión de la flota de tu negocio y asegurar el desempeño, todos los procesos y componentes deben ser adecuadamente diseñados y optimizados en base a evaluaciones periódicas en los siguientes aspectos:
- Gestión de mantenimiento
- Seguimiento de vehículos por GPS
- Análisis de la conducta de conducción
- Alarmas en las flotas (para averías, hojas de vida, parámetros, etc)
- Planificación y seguimiento de rutas
Antes de empezar a conducir, es importante realizar las revisiones pertinentes al vehículo como la presión de llanta, el nivel del agua y aceite y los elementos de seguridad para cualquier reparación. Esto asegurará que no se desencadene un problema en el vehículo.
Entre las recomendaciones principales nuestro jefe de operaciones detalla lo siguiente:
- Cumplimiento de la planificación en los mantenimientos preventivos y correctivos de la flota.
- Manejo a la defensiva en las rutas de acuerdo con las zonas que se transitaran.
- Lavado del vehículo es importante para el cuidado del activo.
- Inspección diaria de los vehículos con la aplicación de check list de MB Renting.
- Coordinar el descanso de los conductores para controlar la fatiga y somnolencia.
- Cumplir el plan de transporte, teniendo en cuenta las indicaciones
